Normal content resumes next week. She is exhaustedddd.
I landed back in Los Angeles on Wednesday after a week of rain in New York, 10 days of manual labor and family stress in Pennsylvania, and a travel day from hell. Hell being I had to fly American. I had no other choice. Scranton to Charlotte, then Charlotte to Los Angeles. The last leg is 5+ hours which is technically long haul, but hard to find evidence of that on a plane without screens, food, or working WIFI. Add in miserable turbulence, corroded flaps struggling to get us off the ground, and Reagan-era engines that sounded like they wanted to crack off over San Bernardino. I’m a United girl, specifically a Dreamliner girl, and I won’t take it for granted ever again.
I need to decompress and eat vegetables, so I’m taking a drive down south for a … you guessed it … weekend escape. My fridge is empty and I don’t feel like unloading my suitcase and doing laundry, so off we go!
I won’t fully abandon y'all today. A few weeks ago I sat down with Elle Murasaki’s Stripped Podcast for a never-ending conversation that had to be cut into two parts. I simply can not stop talking. You can listen to both parts below and on Spotify. Be sure to rate, share, and follow Elle on Spotify and TikTok.
Part 1 - For the Culture (Sept 28):
Part 2 - For the Culture (Oct 4):
Appreciate youuuuu.
The horror of that flight is enough to send me on a road trip.
