You know I’ve fallen off when not a single campaign schemer running for L.A. mayor (or California governor) has tried to pay me off. Not a single partnership request, not a single secret AIPAC agency disguised as a ‘progressive thinktank,’ not a single indie publicist spamming me with fundraising achievements or countdown timers.
For those who can’t totally leave L.A. and decamp to Mamdani’s New York, may I suggest doing what I did and move to a nothing town in nowhere California? Yes, the vibes can be a little MAGA, but their fear of 5G towers and chemtrails also means they’re protesting data centers and Flock cameras at every town council meeting. (Q Anon might’ve inadvertently birthed a more actively progressive base than DSA ever has! Insane, but active!). You know what, let me stop, more on that down below.
