As both friends (now former friends) and internet strangers have found out this week with me, you are better off talking to a wall. The wall *might* listen to your arguments defending and rationalizing the necessity of colonization, dehumanization, displacement, internment, checkpoints, apartheid, war to excess, and genocide. I am simply not your audience. Literally please redirect your campaign elsewhere because I, a Black American Woman, am just not your audience.

I actually had to speak with my therapist this week, twice, about the amount of people in my life who slipped through the cracks of my 2020 Purge. The ones who wasted my time “listening and learning,” who I educated in spite of my own exhaustion and trauma, who this week immediately, without thought, fell into the trap of nationalist propaganda, and ultimately, the support of a genocide.
