First post of the year.

Procrastination might be the theme of the year. My MacBook battery is on the fritz and has been desperately begging for service, dramatically shutting off anytime she’s unplugged from the wall. I’m too lazy to back her up, too lazy to make a Genius Bar appointment, and too lazy wait the two hours it’ll take for the battery swap. I’m also too lazy to write in an upright position, instead preferring to prop her up somehow on my knees while I’m halfway horiztonal on the couch. My favorite way to write, and something I can’t do so far away from electrical outlets.

I thought about rigging two extension cords to make it work, but, and here comes the theme again, I was too lazy to find them. So I’m here, upright, back hurting, shoulders haunching, at a table, knocking out the first newsletter of the year. Sitting upright and typing upright makes this feel wayyyy too official.
