I went on this grand trek across Manhattan and all the way through Central Park to go see Belizaire at the Met and he wasn’t there! I thought I’d have this romantic moment walking through the American Wing galleries until I finally came upon the boy someone tried to hide from history. I basically just ended up walking in circles until a staffer told me he wasn’t showing …yet. This is despite the Met saying in August that the work would be up “this fall.” As of today there is still no display date. I actually emailed my grievances to the Met like a superkaren. Praying he’s up by the time I circle back through New York.
