The last day of the last block history month - damn that hit hard. Cancelled my Amazon and have done so much less passive shopping in the past few months. Working on curbing my DoorDash so I can become a paid subscriber! Appreciate you πππ
iβm going to be so honest, this economic blackout felt like another black squares on instagram initiative to me until i read your words. thank you for taking the time to write, i see so so so much purpose now :)
I have profoundly disabling chronic illnesses. I wish more of your action items were doable/applicable for me (been doing the few that are already), but I just realized Iβm not part of your target audience. But good on anyone/everyone whoβs making whatever meaningful changes they can ππ»
This hit like a brick through the algorithmic haze we call normal life. The blend of satire, anger, and unfiltered truth is exactly the jolt so many of us need. Especially this: βIf doing something is too overwhelming for you, then doing nothing should be easy.β That line alone could dismantle a generation of passive scrolling.
What youβre saying about consumerism feels less like a protest and more like a plea for spiritual clarityβlike, are we even here anymore, or just outsourcing our existence to apps and sugar-water brands? Thank you for making the invisible machine visible. Subscribed and shaken awake.
I think economic boycotts should be the foundation of activism for Black Women. It is safe, effective, and regenerative in that whatever resources we save can be reinvested into our creative, entrepreneurial projects. Here. For. It.

"use it up
wear it out
make it do
or do without"
- great depression reminder

Absolutely. Those of us who can take part in political activiism should always do it on behalf of those who want to but cannot.
The only money I spent today was on this. Thank you as always for your thoughts.
